NABOO ELECTRONIC BOARDS
The operation and the user interface of the appliance systems are managed by electronic cards
The electronic cards are:
Display
Control board
Magnetron expansion board
Display Board
The display board, equipped with a plastic frame, is done by three NOT-DISCOMPOSIBLE parts; the display board, the SOM, that carries memory and processor, and the touch display.
SOM card (do not remove)
RJ45 for wired Ethernet
Wi-Fi Antenna
DIP Switch
Backup battery
USB connector for data exchange and SW update
Laud speaker connector
RJ45 plug to connect the relays board
The display board is fixed to the front panel via 6 nuts and a gasket is installed between panel and display, protecting the display from water, grease and vapor infiltration.
In case of removal of the board, always replace this gasket because damage due to infiltration is not covered by the warranty. If replacement is for warranty Display board MUST BE RETURNED TO LAINOX
The display board of the Oracle 2.0 while being similar to that of the compact line is not interchangeable with that as well with the old Oracle display
SOFTWARE
The operation of the display card is based on the Android operating system and on this OS is installed the NABOO application that below we will indicate as Software (SW).
When turned on, the operating system starts just like a smartphone; Once the operating system is booted, an image is presented during the start of the Naboo application.
If the display is replaced, check if there is a backup of the unit configuration; if any, load the configuration from USB, otherwise reconfigure the unit from the service level.
Display Board - Software update
Display board can be updated installing the latest SW version.
Is recommended to keep updated the SW in order to achieve bug fix and new features which can improve and extend cooking capabilities.
On-line software update
When connected to the cloud, the unit automatically shows on the status bar if a new software version is available.
Follow instruction on the display which will guide you to the update; when completed unit must be restarted.
If synchronization has been disabled, you can use the «check software update» button.
If the Wi-Fi connection is unstable or slow, do not to use this update method.
USB software update
All the units have a USB port for updating the software. The latest version is always available on the website http://www.service-planner.lainox.it.
Download the SW on a memory stick and plug it into the USB port on the Naboo.
Select Complete Software
A window will appear to select the file containing the software with the extension “.nbu”
Follow instruction on the display which will guide you to the update; when completed unit must be restarted.
Display Board – Booting Sequence
If the boot is unsuccessful and a) and b) continue to be displayed, the operating system is probably corrupted.
Contact LAINOX support to check if possible to recover the display
Display operate as an Android device and has a booting sequence with automatic launch of the Naboo application.
Start-up sequence
When switched on, the display flashes briefly to indicate that the sequence has started.
a) After a few seconds, Android shows the first real screen
b) Then, the applications start loading
c) After a) and b), the “loading” screen may appear with this message at the bottom; press this line to access to Maintenance level
d) The Naboo application is starting (white since version 10)
e) The Naboo application is ready
In the event of a power failure, a large spanner symbol will appear on screen and will be needed some few seconds to have access to the functions.
Power failures are the main cause of damage to the operating system and database.
In the event of repeated reboots (3 times), the system will be completely reinstalled from the
f) Will appear the Recover mask to let recover the system from the last backupIf the reboot stops at d), it will be possible to delete the database or reinstall the application from Maintenance with a click on Loading from mask c)
g) Enter “Maintenance”
Display Board – Maintenance
Possible to access to operating system functions through the maintenance window.
In some few cases (if the booting sequence stops on screen d)), the issue can be solved by installing the application.
Installing the application
1) Download the software (#name#.nbu file) from the service portal
2) Rename the downloaded file #name#.nbu in #name#.zip and extract from this folder the files
3) Rename the file #name#.apk in Lainox.apk and copy it on the USB stick. For Compact units, rename the file as Lainox7h.apk (if horizontal) or Lainox7v.apk (if vertical)
Enter Maintenance mode, connect the USB, and select Install app from USB.
Access
When you keep pressed Loading during the booting sequence, you enter the Maintenance window g) which gives you access the data (not for customers) with the password «stools»
Install application from USB
Export database to USB
Delete database
Import database from USB
The application database contains all information to run the unit correctly.
Application database
Possible to
- Export data onto the USB key
- Import data from the USB key
- Delete the database (will be generated a new DB)
I/O Board ORACLE
The relay or I/O board controls the operation of the unit based on the indications provided by the display that acts as a user interface.

SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE
The operation of the relay board is based on proprietary software generally identified as Firmware (FW).
The FW controls and regulates the operation of the device based on the operating parameters, inputs from the sensors and the settings given by the user on the display.
For obvious reasons the FW must be aligned with the SW of the display card.
To better support and grant high reliability on the field, the software contained in the Display PCB contains a copy of the firmware and in case the display card is not aligned and fails to communicate with the relay board the system alerts and tries to install the FW version to align the two boards
Magnetron power board
The power board, common to all models, control the power outputs of the cabinet heating and magnetrons. It’s connected to the control board with a parallel connection 1:1.
