Installation

The installation of LAINOX appliances must be checked by an authorised technician whom, in accordance with the installation protocol, certifies correct installation and activates the appliance warranty.

Non-compliant or incorrect installation may cause malfunctions or faults that will not be covered by the warranty.

Detailed instructions for correct installation are provided in the installation manual supplied with the appliance, and which can be downloaded from the portal https://www.service-planner.lainox.it , which is considered an official document.

Always fill properly installation report

Organizing installation

LAINOX strongly suggests preparing for installation by generating a dedicated installation ticket.

Upon arrival at destination, always check for correspondence between the ordered material, the received quantities, and systems to which the appliance must be connected.

For best organisation, it is recommended to ask the salesperson to fill in the request for installation, where any agreements made must be collected prior to the arrival of the material.

Placement

The environment in which the oven is installed must be properly ventilated and there must be sufficient space to guarantee ease of servicing of the appliance, thus avoiding additional maintenance costs.

There must be a 50mm clearance around the appliance to allow proper ventilation.

For floor units consider to leave the space to park a trolley on side of the unit, will grant space for chemicals and maintenance.

Never install the appliance near flammable walls or appliances, do not obstruct the air intakes and maintain a suitable distance (400mm) from other sources of heat.

Table units placement

Benchtop appliances must be placed on an original support; otherwise, a suitable surface must be identified of a suitable size able to support all four adjustable feet, and with a structure able to support the weight of the appliance; request the necessary devices to secure it to the surface.

Consider that unit can be transported only on pallet never use transpallet/forklift to lift/transport the unit without pallet.

When lifting the appliance, consider the weight of the appliance itself and therefore use suitable lifting devices or a suitable number of people.

Stand has 2 pin screwed internally unscrew them and fix them on the top side; rear foots must fix on the pins

Floor-standing units placement

To move the appliance, use suitable lifting devices, lifting the appliance only in the spaces indicated by the dedicated stickers, which must not be removed.

Consider that on the bottom side there are the guides for the trolley that are not suitable to lift up the appliance.

The appliance must be installed on a flat floor; an inclination of the floor of a maximum of 1 cm is allowed. Outside of these limits it is recommended to use the trolley ramp accessory.

The device must be aligned with the trolley; the oven must therefore not be leveled but aligned to the floor.

Stand has 2 pin screwed internally unscrew them and fix them on the top side.

Grids are not allowed in the front or under the oven.

Any grid present in the trolley handling area must be removed/covered to allow the trolley to be inserted safely.

The appliance sucks the cooling air from the bottom left side of the dashboard; it is therefore important that there are no sources of steam / heat nearby.

Unit leveling

Correct levelling is essential for a good installation for this reason all units are equipped with adjustable foots.

Wrong levelling can not only lead to cooking problems but will certainly cause steam and water leaking from the door.

Table units are equipped with adjustable foots; rear feet are the classic cylindrical adjustable feet; front feet are for fine adjustment; use a 19mm spanner to adjust them.

For proper leveling at first adjust the rear feet, to level the back, then proceed to adjust the leveling of the front with the front feet.

Check the leveling front/rear on the left and on the right and if needed adjust from the front or from the back.

Finally check diagonals leveling

Floor Unit leveling

The oven must be properly leveled according to the inclination of the floor and trolley.

Prepare the front of the oven at the correct height, measuring 240mm from the floor on the two ends of the door; operate the front feet.

Measure the distance X between the bottom of the oven and the floor in the front area and align the rear feet to the same height so that the oven is parallel to the floor.

Place and fix to the floor the fixing brackets for the feets, take care that the opening of the C's are facing the front of the oven

Once the device has been leveled, it is advisable, in case of small leaks, to make a fine adjustment.

The easiest and most effective way is, operating in two and acting on the front feet, to let a person enter the appliance, close the door and give instructions to the colleague outside so that he adjusts the front feets to align the trolley plate perfectly aligned to the door gasket.

To complete the fine adjustment it is necessary to insert the trolley, lock the wheels and act on the rear feet by measuring the distance between the uprights of the trolley and the edge of the chamber.

When the trolley is empty, adjust the rear feet so that the distance X at the top of the carriage is about 1 cm less than the distance Y at the bottom of the carriage which is slightly preloaded

The target is to achieve that points A and B of the trolley flange are perfectly in touch to the gasket with full load and that in the vacuum adjustment point A is slightly less in touch than point B.

Warning: In case of a uneven floor or too steep, is possible to install the optional leveling ramp that help up to a 3% unevennes

Connections

A) Electrical power supply input

B) Cold water supply input

C) Gas supply input

D) Softened water supply input (up to a max. temperature of 50°C)

E) Condensate and wash water drain

To access the connections, remove the bottom right-hand side panel.

Electrical Connection

Warning: The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage or malfunctioning of the appliance due to the absence or inadequacy of earthing systems, to the incorrect layout or installation of auxiliary systems, to faulty connections or to non-compliance of the building's electrical system with current regulations.

Warning: On gas units, the neutral wire (blue) must have 0V voltage. This is necessary for flame detection; an error message will appear if the connection is incorrect. If you have a two-phase power supply, the unit must be ordered specifying this type of system or a 1:1 isolation transformer must be installed

Warning: Earthing is mandatory, as is the equipotential bonding of all the installed devices connected to the power supply and earthed with low-resistance cables

We recommend an interlocked socket or at least one line disconnector in the immediate vicinity of the appliance to isolate the appliance in case of maintenance.

The appliance should be protected with a safety switch and properly rated fuse based on the rated consumption of the appliance.

The power cable comes out from the bottom of the appliance and it is possible to make it come out from the back.

Before proceeding with the installation, perform a system check to see if it complies with local regulations.

Gas Connection

The supply lines must be planned and sized in accordance with local regulations to ensure the nominal installed power.

For safety reasons, the presence of a quick shut-off valve on the power line near the unit is recommended.

The supply line must be at least the same section as the connection to the appliance.

An authorised technician should connect the unit to the supply line to ensure that local regulations and indications by Lainox are applied.

Warning: purge the supply piping of any sludge if new.

Warning: Run a combustion analysis to check the level of CO2 and CO in the emissions using the dedicated tool.

Warning: The type of gas supply, set in production, is indicated by an adhesive; update the details thereon if the gas type is changed

Plate info must be respected about gas type and pressure.

It is mandatory to check the static and dynamic pressure, a maximum difference of 10% is allowed, and a test must be run to check for leaks from the connections, inside and outside of the appliance, during installation or after all repairs; use a suitable electronic instrument or a leak detection spray.

The gas inlet for the appliance, highlighted with a white sticker, can be ½ or ¾ inches.

Water Connection

Warning: The softened water inlet, in direct steam appliances, must be fed with water having a hardness between 6° and 9° Th inclusive; if needed install a water softener. In units with boiler, the water does not need to be softened.

On the right-hand side of the appliance, starting from the right we find the softened water and cold water inlets. The flexible supply hoses must be ¾ inch and must be new, do not use previous connections; it is recommended to insert a shut-off valve for each supply line.

Both inlets must always be connected and the allowed supply pressure for correct operation is between 200 and 500 KPa inclusive (2 ÷ 5 Bar).

The cold water inlet must be fed with cold water at maximum 30°C

The softened water inlet can be fed with water at maximum 50°C

Drain Connection

Units with drain box can be connected directly to the drainage system; units without a drain box must be connected with air gap.

Each appliance must have a separate drain or in any case not directly connected. Consider that the stacked units and model 161 have 2 drains.

The creation of a ventilated drain can facilitate the outflow and proper functioning; with the hydraulic connection kit you can easily create a ventilated drain as in the picture.

The appliance must be connected to a drain system with a diameter equal / greater than 50mm.

Ventilation system

Appliance type B13

With natural draft ducting systems that require a draft switch.

Attention: Never install an appliance in this configuration if the building is equipped with a mechanical extraction system

The appliance can be connected to an existing natural draught flue in the building through proper optional.

The connection must be made using pipes resistant to high temperatures (no aluminium) and use of a windproof flue is mandatory.

Warning: never install an appliance in this configuration if the building has a forced suction system

All installations must comply with local regulations; a ventilation system is often required for cooking also in electrical appliances.

For gas-powered appliances, ventilation systems are mandatory and may be type B13 or B23

Appliance type B23
